Promised Land Dairy
It’s always great when the first actor we think of for a voice casting project is available and books it. Fortunately for us and Promised Land Dairy that’s exactly what happened for this campaign.
I wish we could always book the first actor that we feel is the perfect match for each project, but voice casting is not an exact science. It is a process that allows the talent buyers to hear a range of well-suited voices and choose the one that best fulfills the creative vision of the spots. When casting voiceover, VO&stuff acts as a filter to quickly get the best reads from the most appropriate actors. In this case the creative and the casting were in perfect sync. (Full disclosure, having a pool of amazingly talented actors that make exceptional interpretation choices makes the job much easier too.)
So what’s special about Promised Land Dairy?
Aside from the VO&stuff voice casting and the great VO work by Jim Piddock, apparently it’s the Jersey cows with ancestors from the British Isle of Jersey.
In these fun spots we learn that every Jersey cow at Promised Land Dairy has a name. The campaign introduces the audience to five of these special team members and thanks to the wonderfully dry & witty VO, we get to learn about their unique personalities as well.
Agatha the Exercise Freak, Roxy the Rebel, Gladys the Gossip, Mildred the Vegan and Francine the Diva.
We really enjoyed casting these clever, fun and beautifully shot commercials.
Fun Facts- Jersey cattle were originally bred in the British Channel Island of Jersey and are known for their genial disposition. Talk about perfect sync: VO&stuff is also know for their genial disposition, just ask our clients!!!
